Typically, starch needs to be thoroughly cooked in water between 60°C and 80°C to gelatinize. Generally, customers who smoke hookah charcoal expect the charcoal ash to be white, but in fact, the color of the charcoal ash is directly related to the raw materials. According to our experience, if the soil contains calcium, then the gray color is white. Soil contains potassium, which turns gray into brown. Moreover, additives in hookah charcoal, such as deliming agent (lime), will also change the color of charcoal ash. However, no matter what the color of the ash after combustion is, it actually has little effect on the quality of hookah charcoal, it is just a different sensory experience.
However, ash content is also one of the indicators to measure the quality of hookah charcoal. Good quality hookah charcoal requires an ash content of no more than 6% (weight basis).
Preparation method:
(a) Mix coconut shell charcoal powder, volcanic stone powder (or glass powder), potassium nitrate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, and glucose evenly;
(b) Add a certain proportion of water to the mixed powder, stir it thoroughly, pour it into the tablet press, and press it into shape;

Sodium nitrate 20-50, magnesium chloride 10-30, sodium chloride 10-20, ammonium chloride 5-20, light magnesium oxide 10-40, calcium oxide 5-20, cellulose 20-30. The described preparation method of briquette desulfurization, waterproofing and combustion-supporting binder is made by the following steps:
1) Crush the above ingredients into 60-350 mesh, measure according to the required weight, and set aside;
2) After proportioning according to the weight parts required by the formula, put the above raw materials into the mixer, mix and mix evenly.
3) After the mixed products pass the inspection, they are packaged and put into storage.
Among the above ingredients, sodium nitrate, sodium chloride, and cellulose play a role in supporting combustion during the reaction process, and increase the combustion reaction activity of coal to achieve full and complete combustion of briquettes; magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, light magnesium oxide, oxidation Calcium generates magnesium oxide cementing components during the reaction process, which plays a bonding, waterproofing and reinforcing role. Light magnesium oxide and calcium oxide play a role in fixing sulfur during the reaction process, causing the sulfur dioxide in the coal to react to generate magnesium sulfate and calcium sulfate, which are retained in the ash residue, so that the flue gas emissions meet environmental protection requirements.
Compared with the prior art, the beneficial effects of the present invention are:

- Briquette Adhesive for Steel Mills
Commonly used machine types are roller type.
Based on different steelmaking processes, special adhesives are used.
Most of them contain Si element and require heat intensity. The steelmaking furnace temperature is about 1000-1400℃, blast furnace or rotary hearth furnace or electric arc steelmaking furnace.
Liquid binders that are stable at high temperatures, such as sodium silicate (water glass) or aluminum phosphate, can also be added to prevent segregation, such as molasses or sulfurous acid waste liquid.
